Polish version :)
Gosia:
Od dawna wymarzona podróż zaczęła nabierać realnych kształtów a garstka marzeń została ubrana w minimum planów. Ruszamy 24go stycznia rano z Krakowa. Mamy w planie 4 loty i 30 stycznia chcemy dotrzeć do Christchurch w Nowej Zelandii.
We have been dreaming for a long time about a long journey to this far land and finally our dreams are getting more and more real. We have plan to start on 24th January from Cracow. We have 4 flights and on 30th January are planning to arrive to Christchurch in New Zealand.
We will try to put here stories and photos from our travel :)
We want to write this blog both in Polish and in English. Probably Polish version is going to be written by Gosia and English by Bartek so there are going to be 2 different stories (not exact translation).
It will be very nice for us if you write us sth any comments during our trip (click 'skomentuj'-red text under diary or diary and photos from each place) - its always so nice to read them - even we are so far we feel so close to people whom we like and love :)
For those who are interested in flying to New Zealand: 4 tickets we have bought (the cheapest we found for this days) costed us about 3000zł (720EUR) per person (booking less then 1 month in advance).
____________________________________________________ Update Bartek
you may ask why starting from New Zealand and not hitch-hiking as were planning before? Mostly 2 reasons: first is that if we had started in january, we would have traveled in winter through Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, north India, Nepal, loosing many possibilities (like reaching high passes in Himalayas), and then we would have reached New Zealand in winter time as well. I love winter, but tarvelling in winter for a year, might be hard (especially for hitch-hiking) The second, and even more important is that mostly I - Bartek (but Gosia as well) didn't know how long I would like to travel, maybe 2 months would be enaugh for me. That is why we started from the country we both wanted to see the most - New Zealand :)
